Brown firm on Kelly expenses proposals

Sir Christopher Kelly’s recommendations for a clean-up of the House of Commons will not be stymied by the government, Downing Street insisted on Monday night.

Gordon Brown’s spokesman said it was ”highly unlikely” that any of the Kelly recommendations would be rejected after their publication on Tuesday.
