Hameeda J Abo-Hossein, dean of the business school at Bahrain University, could easily be mistaken for a top executive at a Fortune 500 company in her smart business suit and elegant jewellery.
While she chose an academic life, she noted approvingly that many more of her students are placing greater value on entrepreneurship and skills. “Previously, Bahrainis wouldn’t think of starting their own business but more of them now want to do just that,” she says.
