Allocations show hedge funds are now mainstream

In July the Alternative Investment Management Association announced the creation of an Investor Steering Committee dedicated to improving the hedge fund industry’s engagement with investors.

Its roll-call of big names from the institutional investment world reflects the fact that pension, insurance and endowment assets have outstripped traditional private client money in hedge funds.
