Oil rebounds following US inventories data

Crude oil prices rallied on Wednesday following the latest US inventories data showing a drop in supplies.

Nymex September West Texas Intermediate rose $3.23 to $72.42 a barrel. The September contract was due to expire on Thursday and the October WTI contract traded $2.75 higher at $73.83. ICE October Brent gained $2.22 at $74.59.
