The mood at Hawker Beechcraft’s headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, is upbeat following the completion of the buyout – and renaming – of the aircraft division that defence giant Raytheon had under its wing for more than a quarter of a century.
“We were not really a large part of their business,” says Brad Hatt, president for commercial sales at Hawker Beechcraft. “We’re retail. Raytheon was selling to the US government.”
