Capital gains deadline

Investors who exercised options and then sold the shares have only a few weeks left to claim back capital gains tax (CGT), warn accountants.

Anyone who sold shares that were bought through options in the tax year 2002/03 has until January 31 to claim back CGT after a change to the tax rules was made in 2002.
