Still looking for an excuse to equip your workforce with BlackBerries? Following a deal between German software giant SAP and RIM, the maker of the popular mobile device, businesses will be able to let BlackBerry users access heavyweight SAP applications. The first fruit from the deal is likely to be a mobile customer relationship management application to let peripatetic salespeople link their BlackBerry-bound e-mail, address book or calendar with SAP’s CRM software running back at base.
