The majority of British teenagers intend to ditch the weekly drive to the supermarket when they are adults, with two-thirds saying they will buy at least some of their groceries online in 10 years' time.
Research conducted by the IGD, the grocery industry research group, found that only 32 per cent of teenagers aged between 13 and 19 would use a supermarket for all their shopping, with the majority opting for a mix of online and supermarket visits.
