Nokia bid to outplay iTunes

Apple’s dominance of digital music is such that each new rival service is greeted by the question: “Is this the iTunes-killer?”

When Nokia on Tuesday unveiled a subscription service offering free access to Universal Music’s entire catalogue and those of any other music companies that join before next summer’s launch, neither group mentioned Apple.
