Some of the worst of the broader Dubai jitters have eased. Emerging market stocks, which took a hit last week, bounced back on Monday.
The Dubai situation is worrying, of course. Although it was no shock that there would be losses on real estate investments made with an eye on notching up entries in the Guinness Book of World Records – such as tallest skyscraper – the timing of the problem came as a surprise.
