Wal-Mart, the largest US retailer, opened two new 203,000 sq ft Supercenters this month in rapidly growing towns around Phoenix, Arizona. In April, it added two of its 39,000 sq ft Neighborhood Market supermarkets in nearby towns of the same Valley of the Sun region.
It now has 60 Supercenters and 17 Neighborhood Markets in Arizona, all selling groceries, and 14 Sam’s Club discount warehouses.
