Abkhazia threatens to attack Georgian ships

Georgia’s rebel region of Abkhazia raised the stakes in its territorial dispute with Tbilisi on Wednesday by threatening to sink Georgian vessels found sailing near Abkhazia’s Black Sea coast.

Sergei Bagapsh, the president of Abkhazia, said: “I have given an order to our naval forces to destroy Georgian ships breaching Abkhazia’s marine border.”
