Volumes are recovering at Mondi but pricing levels remain below their peaks of last year.

The paper and packaging company, which was spun out of Anglo American two years ago, said its Europe and international division saw some recent improvement in demand, but its South African business struggled under a strong rand, which has eaten into operating profits.
