Ofcom orders BT to free up network access

BT Group must make bigger strides to free up access to its network or face an investigation by the UK Competition Commission, ordered Ofcom on Thursday.

The communications regulator called for the former telecoms monopoly to guarantee “real equality of access” for its competitors offering voice and internet services partly through BT’s network.
