Consumer behaviour specialist Bruno Busacca will succeed Alberto Grando as dean of SDA Bocconi, the business school of Bocconi University in Milan. The dean at Italy’s premier business school is appointed or re-appointed every two years - Prof Grando held the role for six years in total.
The appointment of Prof Busacca is the final piece in a reshuffle at the top of the school, following the appointment of Andrea Sironi as rector of SDA Bocconi in October. Prof Grando will be vice rector for development at the school.
With a degree in business administration from Bocconi University, Prof Busacca went on to study at both HEC Paris and UC Berkeley. He directed the marketing department at SDA Bocconi before running the executive education custom programmes division at the school. Since 2008 he has run the masters division at the school. Brand management, pricing and customer satisfaction are among his research interests.
