Norske Skog plans to cut newsprint

Norske Skog, the world's second largest producer of newsprint, is to cut production by a total 130,000 tonnes from July 1 in order to improve unsatisfactory earnings.

Jan Oksum, chief executive said: "We are not getting adequately paid because of the excess capacity in today's newsprint market."
