Alchemy hit by Moulton’s parting shots

Jon Moulton’s letter to Alchemy investors announcing his surprise resignation from the private equity firm he founded was the equivalent of pulling the pin out of a grenade and lobbing it over his shoulder as he walked out the door.

The 58-year-old Alchemy boss – a well-known Cassandra of the private equity industry who predicted many of the problems in the credit crunch – has earned a reputation for willingly criticising his own industry’s failings.
