Kevin Rollins, chief executive of Dell, spoke with the FT’s Kevin Allison in Round Rock, Texas on June 21 2006.

FINANCIAL TIMES: A lot of the steps Dell has been taking to address its recent challenges in customer service are focused on the US consumer business. But that only accounts for about 15 per cent of Dell’s sales. Can you give us a better understanding of exactly where Dell’s challenges lie?
