Frank sets out consumer-oriented agenda

Barney Frank, the Massachusetts Democrat who will become chairman of the House financial services committee if his party takes control in next week’s mid-term elections, is ready to go with priorities that would sharply distinguish his leadership.

“The preservation and construction of affordable housing will be a high priority,” Mr Frank said in an interview with the Financial Times. “That will be the biggest difference if we are in charge.”
