Mobiles foresee $8.5bn score in Fifa World Cup

The Fifa World Cup in Germany next year could generate an additional $8.5bn in revenues for the mobile telecoms industry, according to a report published this week.

The football tournament, in which 32 countries will compete, is the biggest event of its kind, watched by billions, and has become a focus for merchandising and corporate sponsorship.
