Call for financial education in developing countries

Traditional education programmes in developing countries need to be bolstered by practical considerations such as financial literacy, leading education workers said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a panel discussion at the Clinton Global Initiative, heads of organisations working with women in India, Afghanistan, and Africa said programmes promoting access to education for young women needed to be embedded in the larger social context.
