Cancer drug boost for Glaxo

GlaxoSmithKline, the UK-based pharmaceutical group, received a boost from data that could extend the use of one of its medicines to prevent prostate cancer.

Findings released at the American Urological Association in Chicago showed Avodart reduced the likelihood of the cancer in men at increased risk by 23 per cent over four years.
