Passengers waiting for the Alderney ferry, and ships coming in and out of the island’s commercial quay, will have reason to thank the gamblers of Europe for helping to provide better facilities for them from the end of next year.

Alderney’s Gambling Control Commission is generating enough business from online gambling companies to be able to commit £3.5m ($6.2m) to the £9.5m development of the commercial quay.
