Argentine farmers have resumed a strike against the government’s export tariff regime, halting grain exports for another seven days in the world’s number-three soyabean and number-six wheat producer.
They accused the government of a ”recurrent refusal” to negotiate after it abruptly cancelled a meeting on Monday at which the controversial sliding scale of export tariffs that kicked off the 11-week protest in March was to have been discussed.
