Collins Stewart, the stockbroker, is planning to recruit two new non-executive directors – one of whom may be eventually lined up as a candidate to replace executive chairman Terry Smith.

The stockbroker said in its annual report that it will recruit two non-executives and it is thought to have hired Zygos, the search company, to handle the recruitment process.
