Singapore Airlines grounds 17 aircraft

Singapore Airlines (SIA), the world’s biggest carrier by market value, said Monday it would cut capacity 11 per cent over the next fiscal year, starting in April.

The airline will decommission 17 of its 102 passenger aircraft in an effort to maintain strong earnings yields.
