Carroll’s spadework at Anglo American

Cynthia Carroll has only been chief executive of Anglo American for five months, but the UK-listed mining group is already looking quite different under her direction.

Bobby Godsell’s resignation as chief executive of AngloGold Ashanti, the South African gold producer which is 42 per cent-owned by Anglo American, is the latest in a string of high-profile departures.
