Daimler says Chrysler is not for sale

DaimlerChrysler on Wednesday night said it was not planning to sell its struggling Chrysler division, as the German carmaker announced an “aggressive” review of the US unit.

During a conference call on Wednesday, Bodo Uebber, finance director, three times refused to exclude a sale or partnership of Chrysler and said Daimler would examine all options including “structural changes”.
