CCB’s former chairman jailed for 15 years

The former head of China Construction Bank, one of China’s big five state lenders, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Beijing court after being convicted of corruption.

Zhang Enzhao was abruptly removed as chairman of the bank in March last year when it was readying itself for an overseas initial public offering after allegations were made against him in a court case filed in the US.
