Ex-banker guilty of insider trading in HK

Hong Kong’s market regulator on Thursday secured its highest-profile conviction for insider trading, as a former Morgan Stanley investment banker who helped win coveted business from China’s largest state-owned investment group was convicted by a Hong Kong court.

Du Jun was found guilty of insider dealing on 10 counts, in a verdict described by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission as its “most significant” since the regulator ramped up its enforcement regime two years ago.
