Iran sought to forestall fresh international pressure over its nuclear programme on Tuesday by pledging to deliver an “updated” proposal to resolve the nuclear dispute and declaring its readiness to hold talks with world powers.
Saeed Jalili, the chief nuclear negotiator, told reporters in Tehran that with the establishment of a new government after what he called “the magnificent and glorious” June presidential election, “we are now ready to present our updated proposal with strength, logic and strong support of republicanism”.
