Rio Tinto workers held in China

The Australian government is calling for urgent talks with Chinese authorities after four employees of Rio Tinto, the Anglo-Australian mining group, were detained in China, with one of them facing espionage charges.

The detentions have raised tensions as the company is locked in tough negotiations over iron ore prices.
