AT&T’s mobile phone unit will offer six new data-centric handsets including Nokia’s popular E71x smartphone as part of its efforts to encourage subscribers to use more data services.
The new handsets to be introduced by AT&T “in the next few weeks,” include three Samsung Electronics models including the Propel Pro designed for business users, two touch-screen devices from LG Electronics and Nokia’s ultra-thin E71x which has proved enormously popular in Europe and other markets where it is already available.
