Novo Nordisk to invest in new Chinese factory

Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharmaceuticals company, is to invest $400m in a new factory for diabetes treatments in China, the latest multinational to commit to a large investment despite slowing Chinese growth.

The plant, which will produce insulin-based treatments for China and other markets in Asia, will be the company’s biggest ever investment outside its home country.
