Developing regions lead in mobile devices

Mobile phone users in developing regions such as eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America are far more advanced in their use of mobile technology than their counterparts in the most developed countries and regions, a study published on Monday revealed.

The study, prepared to coincide with the opening of the 3GSM telecommunications conference in Barcelona, Spain, provides some of the most definitive evidence yet that the US in particular lags behind other regions in the adoption and use of mobile technologies.
