Informa joins growing list of tax exiles

Informa is planning to join the ranks of British companies moving their tax domicile overseas, arguing that an imminent change to UK law made a move to the Swiss tax system imperative.

The FTSE 250-listed publisher and conference organiser also announced that it was raising about £242m through a rights issue designed to reduce debt taken on when it paid £510m for Datamonitor, the market researcher, in 2007.
