Las Vegas officials push to lure more tourists

Las Vegas tourism officials are stepping up a campaign to lure even more visitors to the booming gambling mecca in order to fill 171,000 hotel rooms the city expects to have in 2010.

The projection from Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is a 28 per cent leap over the city’s current hotel supply of 133,000 rooms, which already dwarfs other US markets.
