According to David Rosser of CBI Wales: “The challenge for Wales is to replicate the success of Cardiff”. The capital has grown faster than the country in economic terms, a syndrome that has left policymakers scratching their heads as they ponder ways to bridge the gap.

The city has flourished as a result of strong public investment and regeneration projects that have created gleaming new landmarks. Local business clusters in the creative industries, financial services and in public administration have flourished.
