Ohio sues three ratings agencies

Ohio’s attorney-general sued the top three US credit ratings agencies on Friday, accusing them of “wreaking havoc” on US financial markets by providing inflated ratings and costing state funds hundreds of millions of dollars.

Richard Cordray filed the lawsuit against Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s Investors Service and Fitch Ratings, on behalf of five Ohio public employee retirement and pension funds.
