Carphone Warehouse and British Sky Broadcasting remain interested in the possibility of making an offer for the UK broadband business of Tiscali, the Italian telecommunications group.

People familiar with the situation said Carphone and BSkyB were potential buyers of Tiscali’s UK assets, although they cautioned that no transaction was imminent.
