CFO economic optimism at 3-year low

Optimism among chief financial officers about prospects for the US economy has hit a three-year low, yet US companies are still ramping up capital spending, according to a survey out on Tuesday.

The apparently contradictory findings come in a quarterly review from Financial Executives International, and The City University of New York’s Baruch College.
