Kuwait Petroleum Corp. will tender its 13.5 percent stake in Franco-German drugmaker Aventis, which is being taken over by French rival Sanofi-Synthelabo, the KPC said on Friday.

The announcement comes on the day that Sanofi?s 52 billion euro ($62.5 billion) stock-and-cash offer for Aventis, set to form the world?s third largest drugmaker, is expected to close.
