Dollar dips on narrowing yield gap

The US dollar fell sharply on Thursday as the euro strengthened across the board.

By mid-session New York trade, the greenback had fallen 0.9 per cent to $1.2131 to the euro, 0.4 per cent to Y117.77 against the yen, 0.5 per cent to $1.7439 against sterling and 0.9 per cent to C$1.1619 against the Canadian dollar.
