A venture born of ignorance

When Roger Andresen abandoned a well-paid job with Nortel Networks three years ago to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions, he could have drawn from his mechanical engineering background to set up a technology company.

Instead, he opted to start a business that would help tackle American ignorance of geography. Mr Andresen's company, A Broader View, produces puzzles and games designed to teach people about countries of the world.
