MPs fear downturn will slow schools spending

Ministers’ plans to invest in England’s educational future could be hit by the country’s “serious economic problems”, MPs have warned.

A report by the Commons committee for children, schools and families highlights fears that multibillion pound plans to give every secondary school in the country a makeover could be hit by a downturn of corporate interest in private finance initiative deals.
