Food from cloning is safe, says US agency

The prospect of food produced from cloned animals arriving in supermarkets moved another step closer on Tuesday when US food safety regulators said food from cloned cows, goats and pigs was safe to eat.

The decision by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) comes on the heels of a similar preliminary finding by Europe's food safety watchdog on Friday.
