Citigroup hires Bejar to head new fund

Citigroup has hired Juan Bejar, one of the leading figures in infrastructure investment, to head a new fund looking to raise $3bn.

Mr Bejar was head of Grupo Ferrovial’s infrastructure division and has led some of the biggest deals in the sector in recent years including the £16.3bn acquisition of BAA, the UK airports operator.
