Robertson apologises over Chavez remarks

Pat Robertson, the conservative US religious broadcaster, on Wednesday apologised for calling for the assassination of Hugo Chávez, Venezuela's president, earlier this week.

“Is it right to call for assassination? No, and I apologise for that statement,” Mr Robertson said in a statement.
