Rogers joins Wimpey in prefab revolution

After the Lloyd's building and the Pompidou Centre, Lord Rogers, the world-renowned architect, has turned his hand to the humble Wimpey home.

The first tranche of houses at Oxley Woods in Milton Keynes, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the rebranded office of Richard Rogers, will go on sale at £199,995 for a two-bedroom property this week. The homes, built by George Wimpey, are a rare case of a housing development design-ed by well-known architects.
