Fund star returns as SilverStreet partner

Alan Miller, one of the City's highest profile fund managers during his days at Jupiter and New Star, has returned to the investment world after a two-year absence. Mr Miller, 44, has become a partner at SilverStreet Capital, a small London fund of hedge funds manager with ambitions to expand rapidly via acquisition across alternative asset classes.

Having co-founded New Star Asset Management with John Duffield in 2001, Mr Miller left for a sabbatical in the summer of 2006 after fighting an acrimonious and highly public divorce battle.
